1. Membership Programs
Gravelo currently offers the following membership options (collectively, the “Memberships”):
Gravelo Care – monthly membership for one primary bike
Gravelo Rider – monthly membership for one rider, covering up to two bikes
Family / Extra Bike Add-On – monthly add-on extending benefits to an additional bike or household rider
Gravelo Wax Club – monthly chain care program, available:
As a standalone Wax Club membership, and
As a discounted add-on for Care/Rider members
The specific benefits, pricing, and features for each Membership are described on our website and in our in-store materials (the “Membership Benefits”). We may update these descriptions from time to time.
2. Eligibility
To enroll in a Gravelo Membership, you must:
Be at least 18 years old (or have the consent of a parent/guardian).
Provide accurate and current contact information.
Provide a valid payment method and authorize recurring charges.
Memberships are currently intended for individual riders and household use, not for commercial fleets or businesses, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
3. Billing, Payments & Auto-Renewal
3.1 Billing Cycle
Memberships are billed on a recurring monthly basis.
Your first charge occurs at the time of enrollment, and subsequent charges occur on or around the same day each month (your “Billing Date”).
3.2 Payment Method
By enrolling, you authorize Gravelo and/or our payment processor to automatically charge your chosen payment method each month for the applicable Membership fee(s), plus any applicable taxes.
You are responsible for keeping your payment method valid and up to date.
3.3 Failed Payments
If a payment is declined, we may:
Suspend your Membership benefits until payment is successfully processed, and/or
Attempt to re-run the payment or contact you to update your payment method.
We reserve the right to cancel your Membership for repeated or unresolved failed payments.
3.4 Price Changes
We may change Membership pricing from time to time.
If we increase prices, we will provide notice (for example, by email or via our website) with the new pricing and effective date.
If you continue your Membership after the effective date of the price change, you consent to the new pricing. If you do not agree, you must cancel before the change takes effect (see Section 5).
4. Membership Benefits & Limitations
4.1 General
Membership Benefits are personal to you and may not be resold, transferred, or shared except as explicitly provided (for example, Family / Extra Bike add-ons).
Benefits are available only during an active Membership period and do not have cash value. Unused benefits do not roll over to future Membership periods unless we state otherwise in writing.
4.2 Covered Bikes & Riders
Gravelo Care covers one primary bike.
Gravelo Rider covers up to two bikes for one rider.
Family / Extra Bike Add-On covers one additional bike or rider per add-on.
Wax Club is tied to a specific bike and chain pair.
We record covered bikes and riders in your customer profile. You are responsible for confirming that the coverage information is correct.
We may allow limited transfers of coverage (for example, when you sell a bike or replace a frame), at our discretion.
4.3 Included Services
Memberships may include, for example:
Annual Services or tune-ups
Basic adjustments / quick check-overs
Sealant refreshes
Chain wax services (for Wax Club)
Discounts on parts, nutrition, labor, and in some cases café items
The exact number and type of included services, and any applicable discounts, are set out in the current Membership descriptions on our website and in-shop materials.
Basic Adjustments / Quick Check-Overs are typically limited to short appointments (for example, approximately 15–20 minutes of mechanic time) and may include small tweaks such as shifting adjustments, brake rub resolution, or safety checks. Work requiring more time or parts may be billed as separate service.
4.4 Discounts
Membership discounts apply only to eligible items and services listed in the Membership description and only during the active Membership period. Discounts:
Cannot be combined with certain other promotions or coupons, at our discretion.
Do not apply to gift cards, already-discounted items, special orders, or other restricted categories unless we specifically state otherwise.
4.5 Wax Club Program
For Wax Club (standalone or as a member add-on):
Enrollment requires the purchase of two Gravelo pre-waxed chains compatible with your drivetrain.
Wax Club is tied to a specific bike and chain pair noted in your profile.
The program is designed as an ongoing two-chain swap system. When you bring in your bike or chain:
We install a clean, hot-waxed chain from your pair, and
Clean and re-wax the dirty chain for future use.
Wax Club includes a limited number of reasonably necessary chain wax services as described in our current program details. Excessive or abusive usage may be refused or may require additional charges.
We may need your bike in the shop for a certain period to complete Wax Club services; turnaround time depends on workload and scheduling.
5. Cancellations, Changes & Refunds
5.1 Your Right to Cancel
You may cancel your Membership at any time by contacting us in-store, by phone, or by the methods listed on our website.
Unless required by law:
Cancellations are effective at the end of your current billing period.
We do not typically prorate or refund partial months of Membership.
If you do not want to be billed for the next month, you must cancel before your next Billing Date.
5.2 Our Right to Cancel or Modify
We may, at our reasonable discretion:
Cancel or suspend your Membership for misuse, fraudulent activity, repeated failed payments, or behavior inconsistent with these Terms.
Modify, suspend, or discontinue some or all Membership programs or features.
If we terminate a Membership program entirely, we’ll make a reasonable effort to notify you in advance and may, at our discretion, offer a prorated refund of prepaid, unused Membership fees.
5.3 No Guarantee of Usage
You are responsible for scheduling and using your Membership Benefits. If you choose not to use some or all benefits during a billing period or membership year, no refunds or credits will be provided for unused benefits, unless required by law.
5.4 Fair Use of Included Annual Service
The annual service benefit is priced with the expectation that your Membership will be active for a full twelve (12) months. If you redeem your included annual service and choose to cancel your Membership before twelve months have elapsed, we may adjust your account and charge your card up to the full standard retail price of that service, less any Membership fees already paid.
6. Scheduling & Turnaround
We aim to provide priority scheduling for Members, such as a target of placing your bike on the service bench within a certain number of business days, subject to:
Mechanic availability
Parts availability
Seasonal workload
The complexity of the requested work
Priority scheduling is a service goal, not a guaranteed turnaround time. Certain work (for example, suspension service, overhauls, or special-order parts) may require additional time.
We encourage Members to schedule important work (such as pre-race service or trip prep) well in advance to ensure availability.
7. Limitations of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
Gravelo is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your Membership, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability for any claim related to your Membership will not exceed the total amount of Membership fees you paid to Gravelo during the six (6) months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted by law.
8. No Warranty; Condition of Bikes
We will perform all Membership-related services in a professional manner, consistent with generally accepted bicycle service practices. However:
We do not guarantee that your bike will be free of all mechanical issues or that it will not require additional service.
You are responsible for inspecting your bike before riding and for promptly bringing any concerns to our attention.
Normal wear and tear, crash damage, misuse, neglect, and manufacturer defects are not covered by Membership fees (though some may be covered by manufacturer warranties, independent of these Terms).
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top and may provide additional notice (for example, via email or in-store).
If you continue your Membership after the updated Terms take effect, you agree to the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must cancel your Membership before the changes become effective.
10. Privacy
We collect and use your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is available on our website or in-store. By enrolling in a Membership, you consent to our handling of your information as described in that policy.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and your Membership are governed by the laws of the state in which Gravelo Workshop operates, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
Any disputes will be handled in the courts located in or serving that state and county, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
