Professional Bike Fittings
We help Asheville and Western North Carolina’s road, gravel, and mountain riders dial in a position that reduces strain, improves comfort, and makes every ride feel stronger and smoother.
We’re proud to offer in-house bike fitting services with our longtime team member and physical therapist assistant, Lyle Mitchell!
Bike fitting sessions at Gravelo Workshop begin with a relaxed conversation about your goals, riding history, injuries you’ve experienced, and a mobility assessment.
Lyle will then guide you through each step of the fitting process to achieve an optimized position based on your feedback. During the fitting session, he will recommend mobility and strength exercises to help you feel better and ride stronger.
Lyle also offers individualized training—either in-person or remotely—to help you stay consistent and make tangible progress toward your goals.
About Lyle
Lyle Mitchell fell in love with cycling at 18, when he moved out on his own and had to start commuting by bike. Since landing his first bike shop job in 2006, he’s worked a variety of roles in the cycling world. Over the years, he’s explored everything from alley cats to adventure races, brevets, bikepacking, gravel races, and more.
Outside the shop, Lyle is a physical therapist assistant, personal trainer, and kettlebell coach. With over 20 years of cycling experience and more than a decade of coaching movement, he brings a well-rounded approach that looks at how you move both on and off the bike.
When he’s not on two wheels, you’ll probably find Lyle climbing up a rock face, out for a run, or exploring new ways to move. Being active and staying curious about movement is one of his main goals in life.
