How Bicycle Warranties Work
Warranties on bicycles and components are contracts between you and the manufacturer — not between you and the shop. Gravelo serves as the authorized intermediary: we file claims on your behalf, communicate with the manufacturer, and install replacement parts.
What Is Covered
- Frame cracks or failures at weld points under normal riding conditions
- Component failure due to manufacturing defect
- Premature paint or finish failure not caused by impact
- Fork or shock internal failures from factory assembly error
- Electronic drivetrain or e-bike malfunctions from defective firmware
Each claim is evaluated by the manufacturer. Gravelo advocates on your behalf but the final determination rests with the manufacturer.
What Is NOT Covered
- Normal wear and tear. Tires, chains, brake pads, cables, bearings, rotors, cassettes, sealant.
- Crash or impact damage.
- Misuse, abuse, or neglect.
- Modifications or incompatible parts.
- Cosmetic damage. Paint chips, scratches, cable rub.
New Bike Purchases
- Free 30-day tune-up. Cable stretch, spoke settling, bolt check.
- 90-day satisfaction window. Setup issues corrected at no charge.
Labor on Manufacturer Warranty Claims
Most manufacturers don't reimburse dealers for labor. Here's how Gravelo handles it:
First 6 Months

All warranty labor at no charge.
6 Mo – 1 Year
50% Off
Labor at half standard rate.
After 1 Year
Standard
We still handle the claim.
Some manufacturers (Trek, Specialized) reimburse shops for labor. When we're reimbursed, we pass that along.

30-Day Workmanship Guarantee
All service carries a 30-day workmanship guarantee. If a repair fails due to our workmanship, we redo it free.
- Spongy brakes from incomplete bleed — redone free
- Wheel out of true from poor tensioning — retrued free
- Derailleur drift from setup error — readjusted free
- Loose part from insufficient torque — reinstalled free
